Helping your audience can be pretty powerful.
It can make you stand out from the crowd, gain an authority status in your niche or industry, help build your brand and is a great way to live your life.
You can always help other people more often, and in the blog post I’m going to be telling you why you should always be looking to help other people.
I love the fact that there’s so many win-win situations with helping other people, and within this blog post I’m to discussing why this is the case. How others will feel inclined to help you out as a result, by sharing your pages, talking about you to their friends and family, and buying your product’s too.
Going Out Of Your Way To Help Someone
I’ve discussed helping people within a previous blog post, but I wanted to address this again in more detail, and state to you how important it is, for both you, your mentality, and your business.
But firstly, I want to talk about how this personally happened to me, and how it inspired to write this blog post today. A few days ago I had someone who helped me out a great deal by simply following me on all of my social media platforms, and offered me to produce a guest blog for their website. I was really honoured to be asked, but more importantly, as I regularly update my social media accounts, I could witness how this person was doing everything they could to help me out, from re-tweeting me to appreciating my projects on Behance. I remembered them for doing this all for me, and I felt inclined to help them out as well. This might be a small gesture, and something which happens all the time over the Internet, but this simple but nice act really caught my attention.
I really wanted to help them too, which resulted in me following them back on all of the social media accounts, re-tweeting one of their Tweets, sharing one of their pages and commenting on their blog.
I wanted to help them in any way I could, even though this probably goes on all the time on the Internet. I want you to take this as inspiration, and encourage you to help other people as much as possible.
If You Help Them, They’ll Feel Inclined To Help You!
This doesn’t mean to say that you have a hidden motive for helping someone else out, but the more you help other people, the more they’ll help you too. This can go for anything in life, from online to offline, but it’s crucial that your always trying to help people.
If your audience can see that your helping other people on a daily basis, they will feel that they owe you for all the help that your giving them, even though this was not your main objective.
For example, if one of your friend’s helped you with one of your problem’s, and went out of their way to help you out, then your going to feel determined to pay them back.
You could help them out when they have a problem, purchasing something for them as a signal of your appreciation, or telling other people how great they are.
As your friend is helping you out, your going to feel close to that person, and feel an admiration for them. Well, this is exactly the same for business too. If your helping other people with their problems, they will feel closer to you, and consider you as one of their friends.
This is exactly what’s great about this model, as it’s totally win-win for everyone. You can help other people out, by them helping you out too! You’ll create a sense of great joy within your life, as theres nothing more important than helping other people.
How Can You Do This?
A great way to actively help a lot of people out, is with a fantastic blog or podcast on your website. People with authority get listened to, as their judged as complete experts in their field. People will actively search for you to help them out, oh yes! Once this happens, your audience will feel inclined to help you out in any way they can.
There’s many other ways you can help other people out. You could re-tweet someones Tweet, share one of their pages, follow them on every social media platform, or buy one of their product’s.
Putting Money On The Back Burner
Even though you can’t be doing all of this for free (without any adverts, promotions or other ways of earning an income), resist having an hidden agenda when trying to help other people, as your audience will see right through you.
You can deeply damage your image and brand, so instead of this, help other people in a genuine and authentic way.
Helping As Much As You Can
The whole ethos with this blog post is to transmit the power of helping other people for your business, and how it can actually increase your authority and sales within your niche or industry.
If you go in with a transparent and genuine angle, after time and dedication, others will actively seek to help you out too, but it’s all about working hard and helping your fellow man succeed first, for you to succeed.
