Are you lacking that crucial business motivation?

Do you not know where to turn next with your business or mindset?

The entrepreneur mindset is one delicate thing, which can easily be turned upside down by one moment in someone’s day.

It’s so delicate that it can turn you away from pursuing your dreams, ending your dreams before hitting the big time, or just plain and simply, giving it all up altogether.

Motivation and drive is so important within any business owner or entrepreneur, and I’ve found it the most important thing to keep in check with my own business development.

This was especially true when I dived into the world of freelancing as an illustrator after graduating, and even though I had a great education, no one could prepare me for the big bad world, and it was definitely eye opening, scary and hard at first.

However, it’s how you turn your negative thoughts into positives ones which will help you become the person you want to be.

So within this blog post, I’m going to be sharing 5 valuable tips and tricks to help you regain your motivation and drive, so you regain your business focus, and not decide to pack it all in!

I understand what you may be thinking right now, but hopefully my tips can help you overcome your own battles!

Take A Step Back

In order for you to regain your positive and motivation outlook, which you had previously, you need to take a step back, and have a break from it.

Sometimes for successful entrepreneurs and business owners, we can get so caught up by our own affairs, that we take no time to look around us, and think about the situation at hand.

In your common case, taking a step back from your business for a while can help recharge those batteries, and recharge that motivation which is so important to fuel for your business.

I know you might want to sort it all out by working harder, but I ensure you that you’ll make rash decisions, which may not benefit your company.

So if you want to help your motivation and own self, take a step back for a while and have a break, it can make the world of good.

Think About the WHY!

Why are you following your passion?

Why are you dedicated to making it work for you, regardless of how you get there?

In order for you to regain your positive outlook, you need to think about the why. Why are you setting up this business? Is it for your family, friends, lifestyle, or on a more shallow level – money?

Whatever your reason is, make sure that you think about the why when you feel low on motivation, which can help you rediscover your motivation and drive for your business.

Pat Yourself On The Back

Even though you may be going through a tough patch with your business, freelance career or entrepreneur lifestyle, what wins have you got recently?

From the smallest of wins, you need to make sure you pat yourself on the back when you make that small win, so it keeps you positive and resists the urge to be negative.

Your wins are so important for you to celebrate, so no matter how small it is, make sure you go absolutely wild for it, and it’ll keep those negative thoughts away.

Mistakes & Lessons Are Crucial

A quote that I often refer to is this classic beauty;

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honourable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

I love this quote, because it regards mistakes and lessons in a positive way. You may of made a mistake recently, which has put you in a negative mood, but you need to keep positive about the situation. This is the pinnacle of this blog post – mistakes and lessons make who you are, so just remember that.

If you we’re to live on the fence, and never challenge yourself, you’ll make no mistakes, but you’ll never push yourself either.

At least you’ve gone out there and had a good try, unfortunately it’s ended in a mistake or tough lesson – but this has made you stronger, and it’s hopefully taught you a great deal, so just remember that if you’re feeling unmotivated.

Tell Yourself: “I’ll Show ‘Em!

This tip can really help you gain some extra motivation when you’re not your inspired self – say “I’ll Show ‘EM!”

Depending on the situation which you find yourself, uttering these simple words can make a huge difference to your attitude, as it makes you pretty determined.

Maybe someone’s said you’re not good enough for business, you’ve received a negative review, or you may just have self doubt, but saying these three words can make you bounce back, and keep you determined until these people see that you’re a massive success.

And when you do reach this success, you’ll love it, and those other people will have to stand by and see it for themselves!

Keep Yourself On That Positive Note

To sum up this whole blog post in two words – be positive.

If you have positivity with your business and own mental self, you can achieve anything.

Whenever everything is against you, you’re making mistakes, and people are telling you to stop, positivity can help you block all of these negatives aspects out, and keep you on the right track.

If you only take on thing away from this blog post, it’s always be positive.

How have you kept yourself positive?

How do you help your own personal motivation?
