Do you use Facebook within your marketing?
Want to know the key mistakes to avoid?
With over 1,590 million users as of April 2016 (Source: Statista), Facebook is still the place to get yourself and your business heard.
However with Facebook’s algorithm firmly in place, how can you reach more of your fans?
Within this blog post you will learn the key mistakes you need to avoid with Facebook marketing.
Not Being Inconsistent
One major problem that a lot of people face with Facebook is not being consistent.
This might be a lack of posts, not having a clear brand message or being inconsistent with your communication.
To gather more followers towards your Facebook page, be consistent with everything you promote.
Develop a tone of voice, write updates that your fans love, and stick to your brand guidelines.
If you don’t have any brand guidelines, this post will help.
Not Mixing Up Your Content
Even though it’s a mistake to be inconsistent, it’s just as bad to be predictable with Facebook marketing.
If you check out your favourite Facebook pages, they’re crammed with different content. From video, images to text.
These pages are popular as they are exciting, and keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
With your page, mix up your content by posting;
- Text Only (a question, opinion, status)
Mixing up your content drives engagement, and also communicates more of your brand and business.
You Haven’t Maxed Out Your Profile
In order to entice users towards your page, you need to give them every reason to Like it.
This is surprisingly common within Facebook pages, that can be avoided.
If you were to visit a Facebook page that wasn’t filled in properly, why would you Like the page?
With your page, make sure your About, profile picture and banner are looking smart.
Take time to create a page that perfectly represents you and your business. From here, fill out any info that encourages others to Like your page.
You’ll be surprised by the results!
Staying Clear Of Facebook Marketing Mistakes
It’s with trial and error that you become a better marketer.
Only by discovering your mistakes can you learn.
Facebook isn’t one of my favourite social media platforms, as I feel their algorithm has spoilt it for many marketers on the platform.
But when used properly, it can yield massive results.
Maximise your profile, mix up your content, and be consistent.
Facebook marketing is brilliant at promoting your business, now you’ve just got to post!
